February Holidays

WHOP!  BAM!  BOOM!

heart necklace

We have three holidays next next week.  Are you ready?  Do you even remember what they are?

Chinese New Year (Feb. 10)

Mardi Gras  (Feb. 12)

Valentine’s Day (Feb. 14)

Whew!  February is busy with fun.  Add Groundhog’s Day, Super Bowl Sunday, Ash Wednesday, President’s Day, Black History Month and Heart Health Month into the mix and we’ve overbooked our shortest little month.

It’s really silly, isn’t it?

But these little holidays are small pockets of pure fun.  They offer us a chance to immerse ourselves in different cultures, taste different food, and maybe even laugh a little bit more.  As a mama, I love sharing these small celebrations with my kiddos.  If you don’t normally celebrate all of these, stay posted.  I’ve got you covered.  Mamaguru will be reposting popular holiday recipes and ideas as well as offering some new tips for February fun.

Let me begin by saving you a google: we are entering the Year of the Snake.

Gung how fat choy!

Laissez les bons temps rouler, y’all!

Be mine!

We always celebrate Chinese New Year with a party. The kids love bringing out the lanterns and not eating Chinese food, except for honey chicken.
2013 is the Year of the Snake!
