Scenes from the Fourth

A few snapshots of our day.

It’s the first year we didn’t compete in our town’s annual Cutest Baby Contest.  We were (gulp) aged out.  Just as well, we had a great time at our town’s festivals and parade.

Mama loves Jack!

Mama loves Max!

Brother hug!

We love the marching band!

And the cool cars!

Don’t be fooled. This parade is really just a giant water fight between the float riders and the spectators. Both groups come armed with water guns and sloshing buckets of ammo.

It always ends with a pumper truck spraying down the kiddos!

I couldn’t help but think how many cities wish they had planned something like this during their heat wave. Independence Day is always hot and muggy here, so we are prepared for wet fun.

Watermelon break!

First sparkler!

Waiting for fireworks.

Happy birthday, America!

Great Photos! What a treat to see this small town 4th of July celebration. Hooray for Miami Springs! Your family is so beautiful-love the red, white and blue.
