Even before my brief stint in New Orleans, I loved Cajun and Creole cuisine. For well over a decade, I have enjoyed the fabulous and authentic recipes on The Gumbo Pages. I highly recommend using this website for your Mardi Gras dinner. I’ll be making a slightly tweaked version of their Shrimp and Crab Gumbo.
For dessert, please treat yourself to my Bananas Foster Bread Pudding. I inadvertently served it to a friend who hated bananas, and she repented and vowed to love the monkey’s favorite fruit forever thereafter.
