This is how old I am:
I remember gathering in the lounge area of my dorm every Wednesday at 9:00 night with about 40 other people to use our meal plan flex points on Ben and Jerry’s and watch Seinfeld together. Watching TV was never so much fun. And useful. At least I’m determined to make it so by gleaming one bit of inspiration from a Kramer episode to help me live better this week.
Say what?
Do you remember the episode when Kramer works for a company where he isn’t even hired? In one scene Jerry questions what he is does all day for that company.
Kramer replies, “TCB.”
“What’s that?” askes Jerry.
“I take care of business.”
Well, today is my TCB day. I’m writing a list of all the stuff I’ve let slide and I’m going to tackle it all at once. I like to do this about every six months, which means I am either a master procrastinator or über organized, depending on your perpective.
Here’s the checklist:
make dentist appointments for myself, Max and Jack
call the dermatologist
enter HGTV dreamhouse contest (tres important)
clean out my desk drawers
go to the bank
write Xmas thank yous
put all returns and receipts in a bag to TCB tomorrow
organize my new spices and get rid of extra jars
sort shoes for wear, repair and rid
complete my T paperwork
read my new camera’s manual about video
clean my jewelry
watch the instructive video my tech guy made
Pretty mundane stuff here. Hopefully it will clear the rest of the week for fabulousness. Gosh, I sure am glad I get to make those student loan payments for this useful bit of knowledge.
