This summer we were lucky enough to renovate our home’s one and only bathroom and many of you have requested to see it. A few lingering details kept me from revealing it until now. It seems contractors take longer than expected to complete those last few touches.
We are thrilled with the results. The most important aspect was incorporating built-in storage. A large medicine cabinet, two shower nooks and a vanity did the trick. It’s still a small bathroom, but it feels much more open and airy.

We don’t miss our rusty tower at all. These penny tiles were an unexpected choice, but so fun in our classic bathroom.

We had a rain shower before, but it was smaller and chrome. We saved it for a future outdoor shower.

It was hard to take a picture of our vanity given our space. We chose one from Home Depot, but changed out the hardware to make it modern. I love the way it looks, but mostly I love all the storage that fits in a tight space.

Ha-ha! This is a strange angle, because I didn’t want to be in the picture, so I had to go low. Andres painted the medicine cabinet because this one only came in white. It has solid wooden shelves and is quite deep which was our main priority.

In such a small space, there wasn’t much room for personalization. This cute owl holds our cotton balls. As you can see the walls are a very light plum, a surprise choice for us. We had the glass cut to match our exact space for the same price as a ready-made, but not right one.

THE BEST PART: our efficient toilet with a magnetic, slow close child’s potty seat. For parents of little ones, this is a $40 must-have. Max loves it!

For towels we went for hooks with a monogram for each family member. I love how personalized that makes our space and it’s a good choice for fitting all our towels.
It’s been three months and we still feel excited to use this space. Appreciating what you have is so much more important than what you have. We are lucky we could update. Scrubbing toilets has never been so much fun!
wow. YOUR bathroom. I’m tired, please don’t tell anyone.
You’re bathroom looks fantastic. I can’t wait to use it! : )
