Simple Thanksgiving Centerpiece Ideas

The star of Thanksgiving is food, not flowers.

Time and money are usually spent on preparing it, but we still deserve a table worthy of our feast.  Here are a few inexpensive ideas for centerpieces for $10 or under!

A grocery store bouquet is separated and a few squash are sacrificed for beauty.

Scoop out the seeds. Add a bit of soaked oasis foam. Fill with water and arrange flowers.

Tiny pumpkins left over from Halloween serve as candle holders. Scoop out a small opening for a tea light with a melon baller.

This is what I’m working with this year: nuts, baby pine cones and an assortment of gourds.
A cake stand makes a perfect statement and allows little items to look more impressive. This will most likely be central to my buffet table.
The boys and I went pine cone gathering one day, but the rest of the nuts had to be bought, not gathered as Miami is sunny and 80 right now. These will be placed on our dining table with candles interspersed. My go-to arrangement is always a row down the middle of a table, rather than one massive arrangement. I think it’s more modern, easier for conversation, and invariably less expensive.
I went to the craft store last weekend for place-card embellishments and there wasn’t even a shelf left for Thanksgiving. On to Christmas! Grrrr! I snooped around and found these simple stickers. Place-cards are a bit silly, but they make table seem a bit more special and tell guests that you are excited they can join your celebration.

All of these ideas are simple which will allow us the time to create delicious food and warm memories with family and friends.  I wish you all a lovely Thanksgiving.
