Put Me in the Zoo!

Remember that monster list of New Year’s Resolutions, I wrote?  Well, I tackled #21 and took the boys to the Miami Metro Zoo last Saturday.   I took 189 pictures (crazy) and edited it down to 80 (still a bit wacky), but I’m limiting my highlights for you to 11 (whew!).  If you request more, I’d be happy to oblige.  Just sayin…

BEST FAMILY PORTRAIT EVER! We found our new pet!

I wanted them to grasp just how big elephants are.

The following diaper change involved lengthy comparisons between Max's and the elephant's poop. Oh joy!

My beloved!

Baby Jack missed his nap, but found rest behind the ear of an elephant play structure.

Pride!

Five years in Miami and this was my first flamingo sighting!

This is a wild ass! Where was this guy when I was in high school and could have tortured my teachers with his proper name?

Bookends!

We watched him get fed!

We fed him! I was surprised how brave and enthusiastic both kiddos were to feed my favorite animal.

I close with Dr. Seuss:
Will you put me in the zoo?  I want to stay in here with you!
