Happy Mama Day!

I would like to wish all mamas a very Happy Mother’s Day.  I hope your babies, kiddos and hubbies make it special.  Today I celebrate all of you, but in particular:

Amy and Mary: the new mamas on the block!  Happy 1st Mother’s Day!

You both went through extraordinary struggles to finally receive your children.  I know you think that you are the lucky ones, but everyone else know that it is your sons who are lucky to have such amazing mothers.

Kate:

Your dedication to your children is as limitless as your love.  I’m certain that has greatly shaped your little ones into the wonderful kids we all adore.

Jessica:

You are a mama bear to Liam and mentor mama to me.  Never will I forget how many times you have helped me be a better mom.

Rosa:

Your children are beautiful because they have your heart.

Bridget:

Your littlest flew the coop.  Welcome to your newest phase of motherhood, a place I cannot fathom just yet.  May it bring you much gratitude and many grandkids (in due time).

Maria Louisa:

Yo he dado nietos, pero me dio a su hijo. Espero que mis hijos crezcan para ser tan maravillosa como la tuya.

Lily:

Your love for your daughters is so loud it will always ring in their ears.  I will never forget when you sat with me during the two hour wait for Max’s neurology appointment when he was a few weeks old.

Eileen:

It is so beautiful to watch your strength as a mother make you stronger as a person.

Ellie:

You played the role of my second mom when I was a kid, even though you have four of your own.  I wish all the love you’ve given to so many people comes right back to your heart.

Mom:

I put you last, because you are always last and first, first and last.  You are the alpha and omega, the beginning and end of all that I am.  I thank you for always being the constant mother in my life.  As a child I thought that was all you were.  As a woman and a mother myself I now see how gracefully you wore that role for your daughters.  It enabled me to grow freely, wildly and with extraordinarily deep roots.  You are now my friend and I treasure our talks, our unique spiritual connection as one of the greatest parts of my life.  We are contemporaries as fellow mothers, but you are also my mommy.  As much as I love my own babies, I’m still so very blessed to be yours.

Happy, happy Mother’s Day to all.
Love,
Rebecca
