“We are a happy family!” declared Max.
With so many rules, so much discipline, so many times I am forced to say no, this caught me completely off-guard. There has been a lot of background stress and worries in our home for the past six months. I can never be too sure how much trickles down to the kiddos.
Sitting down for meals is our only face-to-face time, because the rest of the day blurs by in constant motion. When I sit at the table, I see not only my children’s eyes, but their view of the world. Despite any trouble we adults have to handle, they have a wonderful, active and secure life.
They are loved and happy.
We are all loved and happy.

Thanks for the reminder, Max. Grownups forget sometimes.
