Yes, it is hard to drag a double stroller through sand. It is a challenge to haul umbrellas, buckets, towels, bags and sometimes grumpy bodies to the shoreline. No, no matter how many times you explain not to put sand on the beach blanket, a toddler will not understand.
But then again, what an extraordinary privilege it is to introduce a human being to Mother Ocean.
