When I called you the other night night, I was upset. I didn’t tell you that something was bothering me, because frankly, I’d rather gush about your grandkids and find out what you’re reading. Besides, I know you so well that I don’t need you to tell me your advice. Our hearts are beat in sync, so your wisdom is already imprinted in mine. Still, I was upset, so I called you.
Just hearing your voice calms me, centers me, and brings me back to peace. Any reminder of our timeless connection and the petty problems of the world melt away. One day I hope to do that for my own children. Talk without talking. Comfort without comforting. Be by being.
I love you. That’s all.
Your baby,
Rebecca
